This is the Second Announcement of the Taihu International Conference on Water Management (InConTaihu), which will take place from November 12th to 15th, 2024 in the beautiful city of Wuxi, China.

With the theme of “Green Basins and Smart Waters”, InConTaihu seeks to build up capacities for water security in basins like Taihu across the globe. Through one plenary session and six parallel ones, InConTaihu addresses some of the most important technical topics that basin managers are challenged by. Additionally, there will be a dedicated session for young scientists.

Located in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta, the city of Wuxi is renowned as the “Pearl of the Taihu Lake” and holds significant historical and cultural importance. Its natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage showcase the harmonious coexistence of nature and people. With its extensive network of waterways and immediate adjacency to the Taihu Lake, the city’s endeavors in water management are of immense magnitude, making it an ideal venue for the InConTaihu.

The InConTaihu will provide a platform to address both historical and emerging water challenges in a changing environment. I warmly invite you to join us in this momentous gathering where we can exchange experiences, share research findings, and contribute to the discourse on water governance for a sustainable future. Registration Fees

Domestic participants: 3200 RMB per person, international participants: 450 USD (or 3200 CNY) per person. Students: 1500 RMB per person. Conference participants are responsible for their own accommodation and meal expenses.

A 800 CNY discount is available for early-bird registrations before 30 Oct (not applicable to students).

Call for Papers

The deadline for abstract submissions has been extended to September 30, 2024. Experts and scholars are welcome to submit their papers for participation! The full paper submission system is now open. Authors who have received the abstract acceptance notice are requested to submit their full paper to the conference website by October 15, 2024. Once approved, the papers will be included in the post-conference proceedings, and an award for outstanding papers will be presented in the Youth Session.

A poster area will be set up at the conference. Posters should be in 120 cm (height) × 90 cm (width). Please send your poster to taihulab by October 30, 2024. Posters must be printed in color by the authors themselves and submitted to the conference organizers upon registration.
